Orly - Samba

Hi there!

I wanted to play around with some of my polishes this afternoon, so I only painted one hand...

My nails painted with Orly - Samba.

I painted 2 coats to achieve what's pictured. There is some visible nail line, so I don't think I'll be painting a full manicure of this today... I'll save it for when I cut my fingernails super short again.

How do you feel about polishes that show your nail lines?

    I hate vnl. Honestly though, I don't really see any on yours in this pic.

    I think it's more noticeable in person... I see it all over my last 3 nails. Blech.

    Do you keep 'em to use over a nail-line-hiding base coat, or do you just get rid of/swap them? I'm not sure what I want to do... even though it *is* a pretty color.

    Your nail are always looking gorgeous and don't see any vnls so I can't say for sure, this color is very pretty and many woman love the pink color on their nails and I can see why, it looks beautiful.

    I hope when you cut your nails you don't cut them too short, that would be a darn shame. Love your support and your caring remarks. Love this shade on your nails, it's your color...

    I really like the color on you. I know lots of people say no to pinks, but then they actually look really good on them. If you know you are going to have VNL showing then put a ridge filler or other base that has a white or nude color tint to it, I've found that that helps.

    Ohh well it is a beautiful pink despite the visible nail line. I think if it takes like 5 coats to get rid of the line then I dunno how i feel about it....

    I've been told that if you layer them over a coat of white, it helps reduce the vnl. I haven't tried it yet, though. I tend to let them languish, unused, while I debate what to do with em, lol, or keep on layering until the vnl goes away. ;)

    This is a pretty color but I do not like vnl at all... ehh. I normally use another color under it so you cant see it! but this reminds me of those Revlon just tinted nail polishes! lol(:

    I don't see any VNL either. They usually show up in pics even if there isn't any! I hate that.
