OPI - Crown Me Already

Hi there!

I had so much going on when I wore this in December that I forgot to post it...

My nails painted with Nicole by OPI - Positive Energy and
OPI - Crown Me Already.

I painted 2 coats of Crown Me Already over 1 coat of Positive Energy to achieve what's pictured. Each polish applied easily enough... but if you have deep nail beds like mine, you might find trouble trying to get the glitter to stick near the cuticles.

Since I was out of town, I didn't have access to many of my polishes- just the few I grabbed on the way out the door. The next time I wear it, I think I'll have to try Crown Me Already over a blue base. If you own this one, do you wear it by itself or layer it? If you layer it, which base colors have you tried?

China Glaze - Lorelei's Tiara

I recently received this polish as a gift, and I can already tell it's my new go-to for the winter...

My nails painted with China Glaze - Lorelei's Tiara.

I painted 2 coats of Lorelei's Tiara, and I topped it with a coat of China Glaze's Fast Forward Top Coat to achieve what's pictured. I first tried this manicure with a coat of Seche Vite- it lifted and all of the polish peeled clean off of my nails within a few hours.

Typically, I'm not one for glitter polishes. In fact, I think this might be the first one I like. It sparkles like crazy in person and my picture really does no justice. My camera wouldn't focus with all of the sparkle, so the cell phone picture is the best I could manage to capture.

Patriotic Week - Day 1

Hi there!

Over the next week, I will be experimenting with manicure ideas for the 4th of July. Here's my first idea...

My nails painted with China Glaze - Midnight Mission.
Stamped with Konad image plate M3.
Patriotic 4th of July manicure.

It's simple, but I like it. I painted 2 coats of Midnight Mission for it to be opaque and I stamped over it with Nicole by OPI's Positive Energy. I really like how the silver shimmer in Midnight Mission is accented by the silver stamping.

I hope you'll stay tuned for my other ideas. I have some pretty good ones coming up :-)

Graffiti Lace in Lincoln Park

Hi there!

I wanted to use some of my metallics, so I chose 3 to stamp over yesterday's manicure...


My nails painted with OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark Suede.
Stamped with Konad image plate M70.


I used...

From left to right: OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark Suede,
China Glaze - Passion, Sally Hansen - Ruby Chrome,
Nicole by OPI - Positive Energy, Seche Vite, double sided
stamper, scraper, and Konad plate M70.

All of the polishes are fairly new except Ruby Chrome. It's suuuper old, so I'm not sure you'll be able to find it in a store. Each of the colors I stamped with were very easy to work with, but I think any brand of metallic gold, pink, or silver would work for stamping this image.

Pinky-Punky Water Marble Revamp

I decided that my manicure needed some pizzazz...

Pink, black, and silver water marble. Nicole by OPI - Positive Energy, Sinful
Colors - Black on Black, Sinful Colors - Cream Pink, Revlon - Silver Dollar.
Stamped with Konad image plate M3 using Konad's special black polish and Positive Energy.


I'm very satisfied with this new look!

Pinky-Punky Water Marble

I wasn't planning on redoing my nails today, but I dumped all of my polishes out of their temporary storage so I could better admire them. That led to testing colors... which led to removing polish... which led to this...

This was a rather difficult look to achieve. The polishes I used did not work well with eachother... they dried very quickly and they didn't spread well. I used...

Sinful Colors - Cream Pink, Revlon - Silver Dollar, Seche Vite.

I painted one coat of Positive Energy to use as my base. I really recommend this silver. It's a nice metallic silver without any glitter. I believe it was Silver Dollar that didn't behave well. The flecks of shimmer throughout it seem to make it difficult- though it spreads over the water nicely and it's beautiful.
