Ugly Manicure Monday - 14

Hi there!

This ugly manicure comes courtesy of Elizabeth at Nail Polish Is My Crack...

Revlon - Apple-tini Fizz.

Elizabeth said this was supposed to look like spring flowers, but she used the wrong purple on top. She also said that Apple-tini Fizz (the base green) smelled horribly, so she removed her manicure immediately and gave the polish away.

Thanks, Elizabeth!

I agree with it being the wrong purple- it's a bit too dark for spring flowers... though it's perfect for a retro look! What do you think?

If you have an ugly manicure, I'd love to feature it! Email me with what polish you used and what you intended your manicure to look like :-)

Until next time...

Revlon - Blue Mosaic

Hi there!

This is the polish combination I chose to wear last month to welcome my new baby nephew...

China Glaze - Bermuda Breakaway and Revlon - Blue Mosaic.

I painted 2 coats of Bermuda Breakaway and 1 coat of Blue Mosaic to achieve what's pictured. I haven't been much of a glitter fanatic lately, but I'm quite pleased with how this manicure turned out. I painted this same combination on my toes, and I'm still loving it!

Is this something you'll try? My mother in-law loved the look of my manicure... good thing I anticipated that and I packed these 2 polishes with me :-)

Until next time...

Revlon - Fierce

Hi there!

Today, I'm wearing Revlon's Fierce...

My nails painted with Revlon - Fierce.

I painted only 1 coat to achieve what's pictured. I think the formula is great- it's easy to work with and it dried quickly. The finish on this polish is like that of Princess, with the foily-metallic-suede look. And depending on the lighting, the color is either pink or purple- though not a duochrome.

I'm loving it :-)

Until next time...

Revlon - Princess

Hi there!

My cousin and her husband welcomed their new baby boy into this world late last night. This manicure is for that precious ball of cuteness...

My nails painted with Revlon - Princess.

I painted 2 coats of Princess to achieve what's pictured. It's 1 of 8 polishes from the Edgy Elegance collection. It applied easily, and it dried very quickly. The best way I know how to describe it is foily-metallic-suede. It has the silver undertones and texture that foil polishes have, while the color fits with metallic and suede polishes.

I'm a bit curious to know how it got its name... since I don't generally see princesses sporting blue. This may be an odd choice to pay homage to a new baby boy, but the color is suiting... so what the hey :-)

Do you have any polishes with names that are not fit for their color?

Until next time...
